:: Xavier frowns as the carriage rolls through the gates of IceHold, the messenger had been less than specific about the reason for his summons to Jaric's lands in Aegis, but had been very firm in the fact that refusal was not really an option. He look around the coach with mild amusement at his company, his alwasy present sister, as usual sat in silence, and his newly acquired aid seemed to be in awe of the massive cathedral that was the fortress of IceHold.::

Remember Marcus, my uncle is a very religious man, and has absolutely no sense of humor, so if you feel compelled to ask a question regarding the faith address it to his wife, Jaric is not likely to answer you in a way that is pleasant, or even makes sense to the average person.

Claudia, any ideas as to why we have been called, or are we simply going to have to wait on the frozen one's next move?

No, that can't be it. He would never make me heir because I stand to inherit from father, the power base would be too much in his eyes, and he is no fool in regards to our ambitions. No, he has another play in mind, something between him and father, and we are being used as pawns.

Hopefully the fact that he is merely using us to get at father will allow us the time to gain access to the library, then our work can begin in earnest.

Possible. We will play along for now, but I want a detailed escape plan made should we be forced to flee IceHold. I would not wish to be there should father and uncle decide to end their little games.

[[ Loud shouting and cursing can be heard outside of the window as the shadow of Chaaran in full draconic form looms overhead, his wing span out in full fold as he swoops low, ignoring any arrows that might come his way. Claws outstretched to easily pluck the carriage from its spot on the road, the horses carelessly falling from it the higher he climbed in flight.
