As night lay over the city, the winds seem to spring from nowhere, where once a clear, cloudless sky was to be seen, dark clouds gather almost instantly, the temperature dropping so drastically that water freezes in seconds, and stones and glass crak with the bitter bite of a winter wind the likes Aegis has never seen. Snow begins to fall, despite the bitterness of the air, forcing the guards to seek cover in the safety of their shelters, the peasants lighting fires and huddling together to ward off an unexpected chill.

The entire event lasts only a matter of minutes, and at the end many of the weak and elderly are found dead in their beds from cold.
