Maire was satisfied with the apartments that they were given but it wasnt home quite yet . She had to still add her own touches and her things hadnt arrived yet . She and Marcus made themselves familar with the school .

Marcus pouted a bit " I dont wish to go to school " Maire shook her head "Your father and I want you to be skilled and education is a privilage Marcus . Your father is head master and if you have concerns you will have to speak to him though I must tell you he will be insistant "

Marcus sighed . He couldnt get past his father and he knew it . His mother had a better chance but she and Rensain had always been in agreement about Marcus .

" You have a father who loves you and wishes to see you grow in power as he has . He will oversee your education and because you are a Caladore you will excel" she ruffled his hair .

"Now lets go and await him while he finishes his duties . We can get a snack " Marcus obeyed and followed though he had a scowl upon his features , very reminicent of his father .

{Had been notified of Maires arrival and so had dropped his plans for the evening to make time for her. Making his way down the hallway he notes her familiar figure and that of his son. With a nod of his head, his arms open to embrace her as she approaches closer.}

"I am pleased you arrived safely, my dear."

{Smiles, giving her a light kiss across her soft cheek.}

"I see you and Marcus have been managing quite well without me, but I am glad you are here. I hope you found your appartments fitting?"

{He leans down to straighten the clothing on his son and to give him an affectionate ruffle of his hair.}

"Smile boy, and the world will smile with you."

Marcus gave a half hearted smile . "Father I want to go back to Marloc . Why can't we go back home ? There are no goblins here, and no orcs and you can and mother can teach me at Marloc . Why do I have to go to school here ?"

Maire thought he was rather brave giving his concerns to his father but Marcus was rather forthwright about what he wanted . Rensain and she needed to teach him a bit more subltety .

Maire put a hand on Rensains arm as she watched her son and his father interact .

{Scowls, his voice a whisper. He places his hands either side of Marcus' shoulders.}

"Now is that any way the potential crown prince of this realm should be talking? You should be brave, and willing to embrace any situation. When the time comes for you to be King of this realm, you must be strong, and well educated. No one will love a stupid king."

Marcus gave a small gulp and then downcast his eyes " Yes father ."

Maire spoke " Now Marcus go and finish getting fitted . You will be joining us for midday and we shall take you to your first class" Marcus gave a slignt shake of his head and then moved off . Not with much enthusasim but still within the perimeters of obeidance.

" He does wish to please you Rensain . He is still a little boy however and I miss Marloc as well . My gardens and even the goblins do grow on you " she kissed his cheek " You took a bit more to get used to but at least I have you with me always "

She did so love the dark man . " I was going to ask if I might have a shrine here . I wasnt sure if that was within your power to grant however ." she didnt want to make any more waves for him . He was establishing himself and didnt need his family to make it rougher.

One of the tigers he gave her came up purring against her leg and rubbing its massive head against her "And please make sure the students know about my pets . I dont need them screaming in fear and trying to turn my lovelies into toads"

{Scowls, watching his boy leave.}

"Since when did anyone allow that boy to get so soft? This will never do."

{Shakes his head and turns back to Maire. He speaks with a lowered voice.}

"I fear it may not even be possible to return to Marloc. I'm sorry, but this is the best I am able to do for now."

{He cared not to go into too much detail right there in the hall of the school.}

"As for your shrine, my dear, I wish I had the powers to grant such a thing. It would unfortunately be seen as disrespectful to the mages."

"Very well then I shall make due " she looked up and down the hall "don't be too harsh with Marcus my dear . I know that you expect great things of him and he shall accomplish them but for now he is still a boy . I do not suggest we coddle him but Marloc has been the only home he has known . Of course he would have a fondness for it "

She threaded her arm with Rensains " As for being here , it is home because you are here and that is all I wish for "

She began walking down the halls " I will leave the classes for you to settle Marcus . I have to leave to the main Temple the High Priestess has asked I return for a while . I shall miss you greatly "

"I am disappointed the boy doesn't share my enthusiasm for adventure. There is more to life than just Marloc, I wish him to see it."

{Follows her lead down the hall, his hand lightly resting on the one looped through his arm.}

"Do be sure to hurry back to me, dear. No doubt Marcus will miss his mother as much as I will. I hope it is not too long before your Priestess returns you to me."
