(He was sitting in his office, when he was handed one of the fliers by one of the castle guard. Crumpling it up, and then examining his clenched fist, he imediately took a quill and penned a letter of his own.)

I am eternally grateful that you have announced your arrival with such fanfare. It saves me the trouble of actually discovering you presence. Rest assured thieves of Salarain, your Monarch's words are true - the dungeons of the keep can accomodate one and all, and you are all most welcome to attend. And the right strings can be pulled - though I fear they may be thicker, and closer to your throats than you prefer. 'Anyways' , be on your best behaviour, and we will not approach you.

(As the guard left, he pondered the situation. There was enough trouble afoot already - this "King" would only serve to make things more difficult.)

He sat upon a rooftop in Salarain that evening. He was quite enjoying his stay. He read Leto's return-fire babble. "That stirred up the hornets nest, indeed. Perfect."

Now he could send his scouts out this way while he operated in Meriddia. His plan was coming together quite nicely.
