In an attempt to break the tedium of living around Malchiah's cultists and the other inhabitants of F'tallian, Raziel had spent the last few days walking along one of the coastal edges of the great forrest and now found himself in a small harbor town.

The town was remote, but there was still a guard presence and so he kept all but his green eyes hidden from sight in a modified white robe he had "borrowed" from one of the forgotten cities serpentine occupants.

Upon hearing the strangers question, Raziel wandered over, one arm resting on the leather bag that hung from his shoulder.

"Where is it you would like to go, friend?" he asked, addopting what could be called a "middle-eastern" accent.

"Hi", "I need to find my way around the forrest for hunting." "but is there any chance you could show me which way it is to each city of the island?"
"I am going to try to help out in this land as best as I can."

Raziels eyes gave away that he was smiling.

"Everest Forest is a most bountiful place, friend, should you be adept at not thundering your way through her, you should not have any trouble at all making a living as a hunter. As for your other question, Cape Salarain would be the closest major city, but if you are looking for work, the capital is where you should head. Almost every road in Aegis leads there and is a good place to start a new life, if that is what you intend. Tell me friend, what life did you leave behind before comming to our shores?"

"I live a life of deciet and injustice which is exacly why I left my former home to atone for my wrong doings" "In hope that i can still have a place reserved for me in the halls of the divines, or be prepared to go to hell."

"Another exile, eh?" he said, arching an eyebrow. "There seems to be another of us comming into the harbors everyday! Haha, 'Aegis - Land of the Exiled' is what it should be called. What was it that you did that was so terrible, that you had to join the rest of us, eh?"

His eyebrows raised, impressed.

"You had best not try any of that here, friend. Her majesty has no patience for those with a differant opinion than her, let alone those who would stand against her. Very volatile woman. Unreasonable. Unsat-" he stopped mid-sentance and looked around to see if there were any guards in earshot, not wanting to end up on the wrong side of a royal fireball today. There were none but he dropped the subject as he realised he was being sidetracked.

"Ha, I am in no hurry, but you are welcome to the information I have given, friend. I am only here for some supplies, before I return home."

Raziels eyes continued smiling as they looked to the ground for a moment before returning to the stranger before him.

"Anywhere that will have me, friend. Anywhere that will have me. For the time being, that would be deep within the forrest, but that is likely to change in the comming season. I would ask where you reside, but clearly that is a question with no answer for now. I would suggest "The Griffon Knights Rest" in Meriddia, though. The owner may not be 'all there' but he is a good man." he motioned to his head as he spoke about the innkeeper.

"Well on your reconmendation I will have to visit the inn and meet the good man" "But for now I will need to learn how to hunt and survive in the wilderness of the forest for I sence something is amiss in this land, but I can't quire put my finger on it." * Looks in to the forrest with bewildered eyes* "Yes I think there is something very different about this forest."

"Haha, 'something amiss', yes, that most certainly sounds like Aegis." he chuckled to himself before following the mans gaze over his shoulder. "And the forest is definately one of those things that is amiss here, you shouldn't venture too far into the heart of Everest, it can be a very dangerous place. If the beasts don't get you, the Fae will, do not ask me which is the worse fate; being mauled by a great bear or..." he paused, appearing to be in thought, "...whatever it is that a fairy would do to you." he decided upon saying as he shrugged.

"It shall be nightfall in a few hours and it would seem that we both have long paths ahead of us. May yours keep you safe and lead you to prospriety and the redemption you desire, friend, goodbye." Putting his hands together, he bowed to the stranger and headed off following the coast south. It was a welcome change to have a casual chat with someone, it was a shame however that he had to maintain one of his proposterous acts to avoid detection. At least the accent was enjoyable to use.

"Thanks for the advice." *He secretly thought to himself, going into the heart of the forrest is exactly what he was wanting to do*
