OOC: The time line for this is that it is now as the Queen is teleported from her location on the battlefield to the Khemerian Castle. The war still rages on outside, with the city walls now breached, and the undead army fighting to protect it.
Those who would currently be in this thread (by now being in the castle itself would be Raziel, Ze, Ash, SoulReaver with a few more arriving.
Ava finds herself in almost darkness. The room is cold and stone. It is too dark to see if there is any furniture in the room. _________________ "Storyline is like a rollercoster. Just sit back and enjoy the ride...and hope you don't fall out."
She blinks, weak from the sheild spell she crumples to her knee's, shocked by the teleportation. Her eyes flash around in the dark, she was in no mood for games, or tricks. She sensed one other person in the room but she couldn't be certain.
"Who is there?"
She speaks sharply like a mother to a naughty child. _________________
Ze'Zhuanth moved through the castle quietly. He did not give off traces of life as others did, the undead might notice him, might not. If they did and tried to stop him, he would simply walk over them. His mind was a bit biwildered, he needed a place to rest his mind. A place of complete darkness and stillness. This is what he was doing when he hit the door leading to the chamber the Queen was in. If the door was shut, a ton of metal would put it's weight against the latch, if the door was open, he would simply walk through, his awareness keeping him alert about what was going on around him.
Stands in the room. SoulReaver using the boy of 16 to speak. The tone is emotionless almost a sneer as he stands by the door, the blade held carefully but casually by his side.
"Such a pleasent surprise to see you, Your Highness."
He hears a "Clang" against the door frame and rolls his eyes
He slithered through the gates and sputtered, drawn to this place by the words of his master. He entered the great hall, sputtered and then hacked up the lady Amarra, encased in phlegm and mucus, the afterproduct of being swallowed. The cocoon, while disgusting, served to keep her alive within the wrenching bowels of a Naga's burning stomache.
He then collapsed, the serpentine form dying, drying out rapidly, and a naked Melchiah pierced the dried skin and stood forth, eyes burning, a black smile cracking his face like the wide brim of an undertaker's hat.
He moved to the mucussy form and cleared the head from it, allowing her to breath fresh air...he lifted her unconcious body and began heading towards the room his master awaited him in. He was ecstatic to say the least. _________________
Raziel was now making his way through the halls of the castle, one hand slowly spinning his new weapon, the other playing with his ear, the unceasing ringing in his head from the explosion of magic outside was beginning to grind on his nerves.
Delecately with a single claw, Raziel cut away the bandages that bound his wounds as he walked; he healed quickly once his body got started. As he cast the last bloody binding asside a particularly naked grinning man crossed his path with an unconcious and somewhat sticky looking woman in his arms. He appeared too intent on reaching his destination to notice the red skinned creature comming along the adjoining hall. Following the naga without making a sound, Raziel stalked the rather muscular, very naked man as the female he carried was very clearly the queens handmaiden even though that would be nearly impossible to tell were it not for one of Raziels 'talents'. As he followed, not particularly bothered if he was detected, he couldnt help but imagine what an unslightly, ecstatic, naked creature with an unconcious female member of the queens court in a dark and supposedly deserted place could have planned in the next few minutes. Raziel shuddered. A lot.
And that was before he wondered what the abyss she was covered in.
Further shuddering ensued. _________________ [Disclaimer: YOU'VE READ IT. YOU CAN'T UN-READ IT.]
The serpentine man, who was never concerned with what to do with woman, headed in the direction of his master's whim to drop off his quarry. He of course noticed the creature behind him, but he did not say a word.
Amarra would be out for a while. She was covered in the mucus, of course, along with traces of his venom here and there, which could incapacitate pretty much anything, and if she had been in his throat much longer, she surely would have perished.
He arrived at the proper door, or so he thought, and he kicked it to alert whatever may reside within. _________________
* The blade seems to sigh as the demonic pressence grows tired of the interruptions*
" Boy, get them in here....I think it is time that I shed this metal shell and take on something a bit more conducive to conquest." _________________ "Storyline is like a rollercoster. Just sit back and enjoy the ride...and hope you don't fall out."
--Quickly had the black scaled Serpent followed the other in which it did not know. Haplo's main body and mind was consumed by this rush that the Serpent seemed to be getting over what havoc he had caused, or helped to cause. This was that old feeling he always had, when he lived alone and lived for himself. But it felt good, and he had to admit he always wanted to return to this type of living. But something procked at the back of his mind...he knew he had a responsibility. For now he would put this off...and just kneel to this feeling before him.--
--Outside of the Castle, the body shifted and coiled before fading and forming into the shape of the silver haired Patryn. Short sleeved shirt was tattered and black, as well as cloth-like pants. Kneeling, he finally stood up and narrowed his silver eyes upon the place. The Serpent had brought him here so he would go through with this...and see where it lead. Quickly he moved to the Castle doors, entering through them and closing them, staring into the darkened place. Silence fell over him as he listened, creeping inside a bit more but still unsure of where he was or what this place was.--
Without question he turns and opens the door, keeping his face in shadow as he does so. He gestures with his hand for the construct, Mel, Raziel and Haplo to enter the room. He was not entirely sure who all of these gentlemen were, yet he trusted in the sword and his protector Chaaran.
~ The whispering sound of silk on steel can be heard as the spirit in the sword pulls free of it's metal prison, the demon trapped within drawwing off the collected energy of it's servants to form it's physical form. ~
Now, let us get to business and not keep her highness waiting in suspense...
~ With a clap of his hands the torches in the room flare to live.~

Blinks in the light, her predatory eyes sharply looking over those in the room. She took in Raziel and wondered why Vladamir had lied to her about his death. Was Vladamir in on this also? Mel.. only seen him once..babbling fool. She recongised Chaaran already. Then the strange boy, him, she did not know. Her eyes move to Darius on the ground. She contemplated whether he was a victim or a side-kick of the swords. Her eyes harden as she focus' on Haplo. She can't help but smirk and shake her head, yet her heart was sinking. To be betrayed by him would be a hard to stomach. Finally she turned looked to the voice, the previous sword, and now shadow host of this little party.
"This is unexpected, to say the least. Congratulations, rather an interesting tactic"
She turned to move her hands, but found she couldn't. A magic force seemed to be preventing her from moving anything other than her head. _________________
~ The figure moves forward, dark wings furled behind him~
I was rather surprised by it myself actually, but this situation lends to my desires perfectly. You see your highness, you are nothing to me, save a means to an end. Behave and live, attempt to escape and the end is obvious.
~ smiles as she tries to move her hands~
Dear lady, did you truly think we would let you free to attempt trouble for me? You are not dealing with some pathetic whelp like the last demon you faced, I am far beyond that toddler. _________________ Your soul is of use to me either as food or as a means to gain power...you can decide if I devour it or let you live, but be quick with it.
If you are so beyond us all, I can't possibly understand what you'd want with my tiny realm. I could certainly give addresses of those realms that might enjoy the challenge of going against you if you like?
She shrugged, her tone remaining casual
I don't suppose you'd allow me to magic some wine? I do so enjoy it when I'm in such casual conversation with acquaintences....as most of my little traitors in this room already know. Hmm...gentlemen? _________________
He watched the woman before him with interest. There was no love. No mother - son instant bond that he could ever feel towards her. All he felt was anger. So this was the woman that had so easily cast him aside as a newborn? Seeing her in the flesh simply confirmed what he already knew. He hated her. He hated the smug, arrogant attitude that she presented to everyone. He had been through hell, and it was all because of the bitch before him. He hoped that SoulReaver or Chaaran would give her an interesting death in her own right. One that would shame her, make her feel alone as he had done all these years. He slowly glanced to the other men in the room. It seemed Ava was used to having enemies. He was not at all surprised at those who had betrayed her, but the revenge would be more delicious when she found out exactly who he was and why he was there.
~ smiles coldy, his features hidden in the deep folds of his cloak, as he holds out his hand a small image of Aegis appears in his hand, slowly expanding to show an image of the entire world. With a loud clap he crushes the image in his hands.~
That is what your realm and the others mean to me your highness. I have but one goal here and that is the death of my eternal foe. Until then you are here to assure that jaric remains out of our little feud...
As for your wine...~ waves at Darius~...get up off the floor and fetch her some wine. _________________ Your soul is of use to me either as food or as a means to gain power...you can decide if I devour it or let you live, but be quick with it.
~ Allows the magic gather in her hands, biding his time until she is nearly ready fro her spell, and then crushes it flat, ending the magic before the spell can even take shape~
Your highness, while you are but a few handful of centuries old and an accomplished mage, I am MILLENIA old and the servant of a GOD. Now sit there like a good little hostage and do quit with your meager parlor tricks. _________________ Your soul is of use to me either as food or as a means to gain power...you can decide if I devour it or let you live, but be quick with it.
Bites her lip when he so easily dispells her magic. Her eyes flash with dark brooding anger as she looks up to him, her head still lowered. It was not the only thing that had angered her
You dirty son of a bitch...did you have to mention my age? It was bad enough the treatment I recieved with Adam Lyonknight because of it, and now you go spreading it around here? Hmm..at least you are older than me. That much is obvious, but rather comforting. Age isn't everything if you have looks...
She winks at SoulReaver.
....which I'm sure you do. Why hide behind a hood?
Her talk was gibberish, she was aware, but she was buying time, trying to figure out what he'd done to take away her magic, or how to break the binding spell upon her body _________________
My dear Queen, I look how I wish at the time, and do try your mind games with a lesser being. After some of the errors in judgement you have made in your time....Aqua, Kharne, Onikage...I suggest you simply do as told before you make yet another terrible mistake and this one costs you more than a sad lover.
You can make a simple choice and remain here with us until I get what i want and do so in relative comfort, or I can make you feel rather unpleasant when I allow my associates to do with you as they wish...but be quick with your decision...I may be eternal, but my patience is not. _________________ Your soul is of use to me either as food or as a means to gain power...you can decide if I devour it or let you live, but be quick with it.
She exhaled, although there was no real need for her to do so. Shaking her head once more she tried to brush off what he'd said about Aqua, Kharne, and Onikage. With a gulp, couldn't help but smirk at his offer of having the men in the room deal with her as they wish. Oh, how she was tempted to take him up on that, but this matter was serious. She was no longer dealing with some member of her court. Here, the stakes were far higher.
I suppose relative comfort is reasonable enough, but offering your associates....was most tempting.
Despite her facade, she was growing concerned. This wasn't good and she was fully aware there might be a chance that she didn't come out of this alive. _________________
Ze'Zhuanth entered when they opened the door. The construct moved as you would expect a creature of his size to move his steps loud and heavy, the sound of steel on steel was there as he moved, without screeching.
~What odd creatures these are. All seeming submisive to the middle one.~
"Vel'bol zhah nindol k'lar? Lu' vel'uss ph' dos errdegahr?" Is what he actually projects outloud though. He did not know the creature truly was a demon. That was simply what they called all things they did not truly understand.
He looked to the man standing in the center of the room (Soul Reaver), pushing himself up, holding his cut arm.
"You...you are the voice that lifted that rosey veil of lies from my face. Who are you...why am I here?" _________________ Melchiah - Founder of the ABIBEB (Aegis Bureau of Interests Both Evil and Benign, an grassroots Non-Profit Equal-Oppurtunity organization protecting the inalienable rights of both Hero and Villain.
He cast a look to his side, clapping his hands in a deliberate, slow fasion.
"A grand bluff, highness, but you really should assess matters better. And in regards to my humanity...well, no true loss, as I have some feeling that all the "good graces" you've paid to me are to be righted."
He moved to her and ran a finger along her cheek.
"Either way...your trespasses will be repaid." _________________ Melchiah - Founder of the ABIBEB (Aegis Bureau of Interests Both Evil and Benign, an grassroots Non-Profit Equal-Oppurtunity organization protecting the inalienable rights of both Hero and Villain.
She remained expressionless as Darius spoke, yet when he drew closer to her, she watched him with narrowed eyes. As he dared to touch her cheek with his finger, she turned her face away, her fangs extending instinctively. She was loosing her temper rapidly. Without thinking, she turned her head fast, her fangs simply catching a nip in his finger
"We'll see whom gets repaid, Darius!"
She hissed, watching him, her predataory eyes determind. She would be the cause of his death should she find a way out of her predicament _________________
--Silently the entire time the Patryn had been standing there. Inside the Serpent was smirking, rolling in the tension and anger that soaked throughout the entire chamber area. Strands of silver hair hung oddly about his head, hands clenched at his sides. Those glowing silver eyes didn't seem normal, well at least to someone who might know him as Ava had. They narrowed faintly as she spoke.--
--His voice came out, cold sounding as it used to, lacking his normal mirth he had appeared to once have. "You've never known me...nor him dear Ava. It seems many things twist for you...this Patryn is just one of them now isn't he. Shouldn't you be used to this in your line of duty. Of losing children every single time you have one...and changing lovers as you change your garments. Perhaps you should seal your breath and keep from repeating yourself this time...." The voice hissed and it was a mix of Haplo's and the Serpents.--
--Still he watched, glancing to the being that had come from the blade, and to the boy before back to Ava, saying not a word any longer.--
He let out a chortle. He then dropped the muck covered Amarra to the floor, and stepped over them, until he was very close to the avatar of the sword. He made a gesture and bowed his head, kneeling.
"I could not find the woman you sought, master, but I see she is hear. That is good."
He dropped to his knees and bowed his head.
"The naga-puri (pure serpents i.e. big snakes) are wreaking havok on woman called Queen's remaining forces, and from hindsight it seems that many of the noble-blooded have left the battlefield."
He said this not only to seek a pleased response from his monster, but to also dishearten the woman called Queen. He'd failed in his task, but only in part. His forces had successfully disheveled the woman called Queen's forces. _________________
She chose to address Haplo first. Her tone maintained a steady level, yet inside it did not please her to be speaking to him in such a manner
How observant of you..but unfortunately, in some cases you are wrong in my actions. Not every single one of my children have been given away, and as for lovers...I see no harm in it. Its not my fault they allow themselves to become corrupted.
She smirked slightly as she said this
But it does not matter. Whats inside truely is what is important. You cannot take from me how I feel about certain...things. No matter what chooses to change between us now.
Doesn't leave her gaze from Haplo, almost in silent challenge to the beast that shared him. Her eyes only shift as Mel chuckles. Ava flinches, instinctively to aid Amarra, only to remember harshly that she is still tied and rather helpless at this stage. Listening intently, she lowered her head. The news indeed dampening her spirits. She also found it hard to believe. Her troops would not abandon the field. If they had, who had given the order? Jaric? Surely not. Many thoughts and theories passed through her mind, her eyes gazing at Amarra, willing her to be okay. Ignoring the rest of them in the room, Ava openly speaks, not caring who hears her
"Amarra...wake up...please...try to stay awake.." _________________
