*Everything had been cleaned and disposed of. The room now looked as it did before it only now had all changed for the worst. Discomfort still remained, but it was duly ignored - replaced by a sinking, empty feeling in her heart for the child she'll never get to meet. She had sat staring out of her window, watching the small flutterings of snowdrops falling gently to the ground.

There were no tears now, simply the look of a woman who held deep thoughts and contemplation. The question of why had gone over and over in her mind. Still no sign of Jaric, she had sent a messenger rushing off, and suspected that he might return soon to offer condolences.

Yet, this didn't feel enough. Anger was beginning to flow through her veins. Her mind was swirling with resentment. Everything had been going so well, how could this have happened?

Rising to her feet, she made her way towards the doors. Waving a hand to those standing near the door, she continued with determination towards the chapel. Answers would be had.*

{{ turns the corner at the end of the hall, nearly running into Angel as he rounds the bend. Not even stopping to say a word he takes her by the elbow and heads back toward their rooms.}}

You are not in any condition to be up and about yet, your health is far too fragile now, and I did not risk this much to see you die because you wished to be stubborn.

*Took a small gasp as she was sharply pivoted in the opposite direction. Keeping her head held high, back straight it took a few moments before Angel said anything, listening to him.*

"Thank you for your concern, husband...but I need answers that only the gods can give."

*Halted in her step, yet stumbled since he would no doubt refuse to stop in time.*

"Risk?? What risk did you take, Jaric?"

*Her eyes widened only slightly, yet her voice was still lowered. *

"My gods, what did you do???"

I have already spoken with your gods, and they have answerred. A bargain has been made, and unfortunately, the price was dire. Suffice it to say that your security has been assured.

Stood up from her seat, a flash of anger passing her eyes.

"No one speaks for me to my gods, not even you. What is shared with them is private."

Was unable to piece anything together, and began to walk slowly back in the direction of the chaple. Stopping a couple of steps away from him as he finished what he was saying. Her eyes lowered to the ground, a sickening, terrifying realization beginning to take place. One hand reached out to the stone wall to steady herself as Angel held her back to him.

Then suddenly she did something unexpected, in a fury of mourning and anger she flew at him, her hand delivering a sharp slap across his cheek.

"What ever you did, will never be worth it!"

He would know what she meant, and by now, before she even realized, her face was streaming with tears yet they were prompty ignored in her fury.
