"Understood"

She glanced to the direction 'boss' waved, then smiled.

"Well okay then, I'm going to take you up on the offer. Thank you for the meal and the clothing. Do you mind if I go now..? "

Brandi half-stood from her chair, waiting for some sort of wave, or okay, even a nod for her to go. It didn't seem like he had much more to say, at least not until morning, but she was paranoid that this was some sort of trick. She ate his food, would she be able to escape the room? Even as she thought, watching the man made her heart pound in her chest as though something was going to happen that would be completely and utterly unexpected. So far, that's how things seemed to be going on this island. She could only wait.

Brandi sighed, stood completely and pushed in her chair.

"See you in the morning."

Her eyes casually glanced around the room for a door, and upon seeing one other than the door she entered from, she walked towards it. Her hand wrapped around the handle, the door opened, and she left the room behind.

As she walked down an unfamiliar hallway, she thought to herself about the situation she landed in. Hilda Asgarte? What kind of name was that? It sounded like some sort of ugly bar wench, though she supposed it fit the part she was to play rather well. Her hand ran through her messy hair, and she began opening doors as she found them, taking a peek inside. The first door looked like an old storage room for mops and brooms. The second, a damp old room that probably never had anyone in it since.. well forever. Eventually, she reached another door which had an old fireplace and a few sofa's and chairs. There were books all along one wall. Inviting enough, she stepped inside and decided to look around the fireplace for something to light it with. The logs were dried out and almost already burnt to ash, but once she found a flint, she lit the logs and would enjoy the comfort of it while it lasted. Along the book-burdened wall, she searched for something interesting to read. A finger ran along the spines of books as she searched, and finally pulled one off the shelf.

"Hmmm. Never heard of this one before. "

The first page of the book read the title, 'Aegis History.' She didn't even know the name of the island she was on, but as soon as she began reading, it became clear that this place was Aegis. There were old maps, though she figured they were extremely out of date. Nonetheless, it was something to pass the time. She walked over to one sofa, dusted off the seat and sat with book in hand.
