::: Still he found himself dazed from that miraculous battle they had survived. Wait had she survived it? Frowning, his head hurt and he was covered in dirt. Arms, pant leggings, and evern some across his cheeks causing his fierce young features to look a little more dull. Sunlight poured through the thick leaves of the trees, sprinkling over him as he trudged through the forest heading back towards their lodge.

He expected to find nothing, maybe the lodge standing and their belongings tucked away within but that would be it. He wouldn't allow his hopes to rise when it came to finding Wenona. Sighing, a dirt laced strand of black hair moved away from his green eyes. That stick of his was laced lazily to his back where it bounced with every step of his.

All he wanted now was rest and some water to bathe himself...all topped with the sound of her voice. In all the hustling of the war they had managed to get seperated...heh just his luck. Narrowing his eyes he saw the lodge up ahead, smirking faintly even during his depressed attitude at the fact of the place still standing. Nothing...he wouldn't find anything inside he kept telling himself.

Quietly he walked towards the lodge not of anything...except that he might rest alone. Yet for some reason his eyes lay heavily upon the entrance flap as if waiting for Wenona to come out and greet him with open arms...:::

-It was too quiet, the forests, the lodge it'self. Yet she sat there within it's interior lightly caressing a shirt that belonged to her Silent Warrior. It was dusty as had a lot of everything within when she had finally managed to come out of her sleep, and when strong enough to return to this thier home within the forests for rejuvination of self, but for more..with hope of wanting to see if he too survived the war that had nearly taken them both.

Sunlight beams filtered down through the smoke hole to illuminate the interior, the last whisps of a fire spiraling up and out of it to the skies above sending with the scent of sage her last prayer as she clutched the garment in her hands to her chest. " Wakan Tanka....please..send Ushnewega back..if he lives..if not..watch over him..untill I oneday joinn him in the hunting grounds." For she did not know if he survived, and though she wished to mourn, the honored death song for Attikus nearly upon her lips it was then that somthing caught her hearing...

Somewhere close leaves seemed to dance and rustle, as brief swirling of wind coming from around the entrance flap to liftit and place it back down as if an unknown force or the Great Spirit it'self was trying to tell her something. Always having been intune with mother nature, and especially that of these forests, she rose slowly, the soft rustle of his shirt within her arms as it rests agaisnt her barren middle, to the soft rustling of her breech/loin cloth against straightening copper limbs as she moved around the dying fire pit and towards the entrance flap.

Taking in a cautionary breath she would move through that flap and out into the shaded canopy benath the trees as he wished for her to do, her head turningfirst away from his directionto peer into the forests, then slowly they turned at the sound of a foot brushing the earth just a short distance away and there...Brown eyes saw the muddy form of a figure she knew as much as that of her own, as her spine elongated straightening from the lent over position of exiting, the breeze which stirred, brought raven lengths to swirl against the small of her back and over her shoulders down to her waist framing her features as they express surprise.

It would seem like time stood still in that moment of first sighting him. Then the well spring of joy bubbled forth and his shirt fell from fingertips to the ground as she leaped forward " Ushnewega!!!.....Attikus!!!" the maidens voice rang clear as she ran to him, Ran to him as if her very life depended upon his being here, and his arms to enfold her so that the tears blurring her vision could finally fall free with the knowing he was still alive and not dead as she had thought...-

A male voice shouts out, his voice becoming louder with each call.

"Wenona Anoke????" WENONA ANOKE?????"

Emerging from the trees, his uniform could vaguely be recognised as that of a messenger. He looks upon her, unware of his shabby appearence.

"Are you, Wenona Anoke? I have a message to deliver."

Glances very briefly at Attikus

"Sorry if I am interupting something important....but I have a message from the Queen. She told me to deliver it in person.."

Turns solely to Wenona

"...assuming you are Wenona Anoke."

He paused, awaiting a confirmation of some sorts.

Weary...depressed...he almost staggered as her voice drifted so high upon the breeze to his own ears. Blinking, heart pattern returning to normal it quickened once again as those green eyes lay upon the form of Wenona. This couldn't be...but it was.

As swift as she moved, he did also meeting her in the middle arms wrapping around her with the tightest grip he could muster up in his weakened state. No his grip had not loosened and not a word was spoke, his right hand placed upon the back of her head holding it against his chest wrapping his fingers about in her hair. That scent, so familiar caused his breath to catch with relief and joy unexplained. He had escaped as she had too. Closing his eyes he held his lips tightly against those soft raven locks that he missed so much.

The voice of the messanger was noticed but he ignored the man for now holding her close without ever speaking a word. He couldn't speak a word until he was sure this was all true. The wind blurring around them, strands of his own black hair meshing with hers as his fatures became entirely veiled.

Silent Warrior had found what made him move on, and in this moment life didn't seem as bleek as he had planned it to. Instead of an empty lifeless lodge he came to one already occupied and her waiting for him. In this moment he could ask for nothing more and didn't want it. All he wanted was what he clung to as if he might fade with another passing breath. :::

-Being met wih just as much swiftness she nearly leaped into those arms which grabbed her andheld onto her tightly, her own arms winding around his shoulders tighten, with her cheek finding his chest and being buried there withhis hand that ran through her thick mane of raven silk. Crying softly for she could not bleive this was true she hung onto him for dear life. He'd Survived too...

Her heart was racing with it's patterened druming. agaisnt his own as fingers sought out his own hair at the back ofhis head craddling him to her as if she might be dreaming as tears wet his shirt she drew chin up beneath his chin and laid feather kisses against his throat. To let him know that she was real, she would not fade aand nor would he. Having come back to an empty lodge she knew now that it would be filled once more with what they shared. How she loved him, and she murmured her soft prayer to Wakan Tankan " thank you..for bringing my silent warrior home..Wakan Tankan."

Then the voice of the messenger came to her ears, and though Haplo ignored it she heard the urgency of his voice. Though unmoving from the embrace in which she was not willing to be let go from she did peer through the veil of raven of thier hair mingling as one to see the messenger out of breath. " ayah.." she sniffed swallowing ona sob " I her.." she would acknowledge before her eyes closed, her frame seeming to blend into that of Attikus' because together they where one..and she did not want such warmth to loose her, though she was mindful of his weakened state she did not Jostle him unduly...

The messenger, well aware of his arrival at such an awkward time stood still for a moment, shifting and glancing around. Finally, he brings himself to speak once more.

"The Dracolich Chaaran has recently attacked Draco. We need to put an end to his savagery - but Her Majesty needs all the help she can get. She ordered me here in person to ask you - and Attikus if you would be interested in taking on the title of 'Guardians of the Forest' and that you do nothing more than protect it during this most difficult time."

Coughs a little before continuing

"If Lord SoulReaver burns the forest, he takes our building materials, wipes out many animals and also cuts some of our water supply from the lake. If you decide to accept, Her Majesty will do her best to give you what you need in order to keep the forest safe. Of course...this does not mean you have to be in the council. That can be discussed at a later date."

Clasps his hands, glancing from the couple to the sky before looking back at them - curious at their response.

::: Finally the urgent words the messenger spoke rang within his own ears over the subtle sobbing of Wenona and his own racing heart. Swallowing, trying to regain enough strength to stand there and talk with the man, he loosened his grip slightly upon Wenona and turned weary green eyes towards him.

"Again..." this word was spoken as a weakened whisper, a slight hissing tone seeping through. Inhaling he gave a slow yet firm nod. "We accept, and as far as I am concerned I could care less about a seat upon the Council. I don't need such titles."

Pulling back a little just to stare down at Wenona he spoke to her now, head tilted slightly to one side.

"What do you think we should request to aid us in protecting the forest? Perhaps some archers if the Queen has any..." This last was sort of a thrown up question to both of them. Expecting an answer from the messenger as to whether or not the Queen did indeed have Archers. Frowning he shook his head slowly.

"Anyone who is good on their feet and good at hiding...maybe even some infantry to stand around the outskirts of the Forest as a warning post. That might help..." His cracking voice faded off now, a wave of nasuea coursing over him as he was still weary from the last battle. Having been left alone and finding his way all the way back to the forest.

He knew she would feel his weakness but he couldn't help it, going limp just a little bit more the flame in those green eyes glazed and dimming.:::

she wasn't quite sure what to make of it all..'guardians of the forests?' It was there home however, and hearing the Chaaran was loose again and soulreaver too didn't bode well..As Attikus spoke she heard the wearyness in his voice, but she smiled so tenderly up at him in an assurance that soon he would be well for she would see to him and be sure of his well-being. Leaning back only partially as he loosened she could feel his weakened state clearly her arms still held him however, with only one hand drawing forward to brush his cheek with her palm.

" Ayah..I accept as well..this is..our..home..for what we need Attikus is right..we need those to blend into the forests...who can move in stealth like the animals..a way of coming danger to warn those within it's thickest portion..so that we be ready.."

Looking towards the Messenger she gave a quiet smile, a battle so soon after awakening..so soon after having her Silent Warrior return to her. Would there not be peace enough so that they could be together? Without the threat of war and those wishing harm? She did nto know these answers but she would not fail the cheif either..With drying revulets of tears upon her features she she gave a nod to the messenger.

" Let the cheif..err..Queen know..that we will do what we can to ensure the safty of the forest..but now..my silent warrior needs rest to recuperate and be ready for what might come.."

She spoke nothing further towards the messenger as she drew with a simple twist of her frame up against Attikus' side and aiding him the rest of the way to the lodge. Within she would help him to thier raised bed of furs before moving about and making a natural soup after rebanking the fire within and seeing to his well being first and foremost..The soup was made from venison as it's base, had herbs as well with medicinal properties to give adi in the healing and revitalizing of the body from it's tired journey. When it was done, she would laddle this into a wooden bowl and walk to Attikus, kneeling quietly at his side to offer it to him witha smile. " welcome home..Ushnewega.."

::: Not a single word slipped past his lips after Wenona had begun speaking to the messenger. Submissing to her motions, he followed her back into the warmth of the lodge. Familiar scents licked the tip of his nose giving him a sense of calming. Exhaling abruptly as she laid him down, he stretched a bit before laying still and speaking in a softened tone. "Thank you..." That was all he could muster but the appreciation was painted all over his voice and even the tone of his voice.

Shifting slightly, he made it so he could sit up watching as she dished him up a bowl of soup. Sitting there he couldn't help but admire her as he always had even from the first time he had stumbled upon her those several years back. Sighing this time with content he just sat quietly until she began to walk in his direction baring the wooden bowl in her hands. Upon approaching he reached his own hands up and cupped them beneath the bowl to cradle it gently. Before she could stand up or walk away he leaned forward to catch a quick kiss against her cheek.

Speaking not a word he began to eat the soup, the herbs and venicin swallowed and shoved in once again. He wasn't about to hide it...he was starving for something decent to eat and this seemed overwhelmingly perfect to the tongue at this point in time. Eyes focused on his food he continued eating in her presence thinking in the back of his mind how glad he was for these moments of calm. Yet further back, dreading the moment when he knew it would be shattered all over again. :::

He didn't have to thank her, but she smiled at him just the same, those doe eyes looking at him with adoration and so much more, retuning the kiss to his own cheek before settling there beside him and making sure he ate. There was no way she was going to get up and move away from him now that he was home..

Yes she could call it home again, for he was there, looking at him as legs shift from beneath her to extend out along his side she sat there, lightly brushing raven from his features with the softness of her hands. She was as drawn to him as she was several years ago..had it been so very long? It had and she remembered that first time well..she was feeling lost in the Citidel then..but he had come..as silent as could be when she had scared a maid from a room..and then they had been together since..but it wasn't untill they came to Aegis after some seperation that the depth was revealed.

She was happy now..content, and for some time she did not speak untill he was finnished and relaxed once more. " Always...for you here in my...unkshela..heart.." her responce to his thank you of earlier...though like him as content andhappy she was, she did worry of what could come towards them. Praying islently that it did not break thier world apart again. For the loss of him though breif each time took a little bitof her with him...her feelings ran deepwherehe was concearned..and she could not do without her silent warrior...

::: Moments passed before every morsel of the soup was finished, save a few drops of the broth that clung to the side of the wooden bowl. Wincing he went to move and found now that he had stopped moving he couldn't get up with ease. Heaving a sigh, he leaned over and set the bowl upon the floor beside the bed where he was sitting legs outstretched before him.

Upright once more he turned and placed his arms around Wenona drawing her to him while he layed back his chest rising and falling against her arm and shoulder. "I'm sure we'll survive this as we have everything else..." Just a simple statement almost as if he knew what she was thinking...it was just a simple assumption that perhaps they were both on the same train of thought and he planned on easing that tension.

For now all he did was relax and hold her, eyes drifting close and each breath calm and steady. At least in this moment of peace he could regain some strength, just hoping in the back of his mind that enough time could be bought for all of this. Nothing too alarming had happened yet, so far so good. :::

Being eased down beisde him with his arms wrapped around her she pressed her cheek against his shoulder her own arms sliding around him with soft caresses given by her fingers and palms..hearing his statement she looked to him and gave a breif movmentof herhead " ayah..i hope so..then I want peace..." she murmured. Indeed they had both been on the same train of thought.

Closing her eyes she she allowed him time to rest, having seen how he moved so stiffly now that he was relaxing. So holding him close she rested along side of him. Allowing this time of neaerness to be had between the two of them before perhaps thier world would once again turn upside down.
